Vogue.it reports that Yasmin will be starring in the upcoming campaign images for Moschino, which have been photographed by Juergen Teller, styled by Anna Dello Russo, and hair and makeup by Dick Page.
The campaign has been conceived as an homage to Milan, writes Marta Casadei: "Clad in a black pant suit, with cowboy hat, dangling earrings and super-high heels: there goes Yasmin Le Bon sporting a truly glamorous Moschino total look. On the background, Milan's Cathedral, that has been recently restored, looking fascinating on a fresh and sunny day."

going to Malaria No More UK.
Says Yasmin: "As a mother of three, it is shocking to know pregnant women and children are the most vulnerable to malaria in Africa, where a child dies from the disease every 45 seconds. The mosquito locket for Malaria No More UK is an inspired piece of jewellery which will help save and protect many lives. I will wear my mosquito locket with pride."
Amber adds: "It’s exciting for my Mum and I to support such a worthwhile cause. We are a close family and I can’t imagine what it would be like to lose one of them, let alone to a disease like malaria that is easy to prevent and treat. I think the mosquito locket is stunning and can’t wait to get mine on ASOS on 1st November!"

Dorchester Collection Fashion Prize is awarded
After
deliberations by the judging panel, composed by (L-R) Manolo Blahnik, Yasmin Le
Bon, Bronwyn Cosgrave, Daphne Guinness, Stephen Jones, Elizabeth Saltzman, and
Gianluca Longo, the Dorcester Collection Fashion Prize was given to emerging
Canadian designer Thomas Tait.
Tait, a 22 year old Central Saint Martins
graduate, receives £25,000 towards his next
collection and the opportunity to host a future event at the Dorchester Hotel.
Yasmin, who wore head-to-toe Azzedine Alaïa to the judging and Grand Final
events,
gushed over Tait's work: “It is gorgeous and brilliant to wear. I
want more.” Speaking about all the shortlisted designers (including Mary
Katrantzou, whose stunning fan dress she
wore to this year's Raisa Gorbachev Foundation Party), she
remarked, “I know it
sounds like a cliché, but all five shortlisted designers are winners. Having
said that, Thomas is making really beautiful clothes and could really do with
the exposure that winning this award will bring him.”

Yasmin attended the spring/summer 2011 show of one of her favorite designers, Christopher Kane, wearing a print dress by Wunderkind. "I've always loved his clothes," she told CaroleSky1 before the show. "They're kind of extraordinary. Christopher kind of does his own thing; he has his own world and his own sense of inspiration." She loves the ease of his clothes, she told Grazia: "They're dresses you just put on, you forget about them." See more pictures of Yasmin at the show here.

Yasmin and Manolo Blahnik open
Liberty's "World of Manolo"
Wearing
a stunning dress from British designer Richard Nicoll's autumn/winter 2010
collection and (of course) Manolos, Yasmin joined the master shoe designer to
launch the "World of Manolo," which will house a special collection of
Manolo-branded products for three months in Liberty's London store. (Many
of these special items can also be purchased
online.) The event was part of London's Fashion's Night Out
festivities.
Yasmin is a longtime Manolo fan, as she told WWD: “I have many, many pairs of Manolos — but not as many as I could. I get cut off by my friend the store manager after three — and remind myself of school fees.”
She also spoke to British Vogue, revealing one of the benefits of refusing eyeglasses and a favorite model of the moment.
YASMIN LE BON says the secret to looking beautiful is not looking in the mirror.
"I try to look in the mirror as little as I can - it completely ruins my day," she told us at Manolo Blahnik's party for Fashion's Night Out. I've become a bit short sighted and I refuse to wear glasses because everyone looks much more beautiful this way. It would spoil the illusion."
Le Bon's daughter Amber is following in her mother's footsteps and pursuing a career in modelling - a decision Yasmin is thrilled about.
"Amber loves people and she's humble," says Yasmin proudly. "She's humble enough to learn from others and that's important in modelling. She has fun with it too."
It is Vogue cover star Freja Beha Erichsen, however, that gets Le Bon's favourite model vote.
"There aren't many dark-haired, dark-eyed girls around so when they do come about they need to be exceptionally good, which Freja is."
Wearing a teal-coloured, velvet Richard Nicoll dress, Le Bon unveils her shopping weaknesses.
"Well obviously I love my Manolo's - my wardrobe would be empty without them and I also love Richard Nicoll. He's great," she tells us.
Richard Nicoll himself couldn't be happier with Yasmin's endorsement.
"She wore the dress beautifully, in a very understated way," he says. "She just let the face do the talking."

brief interviews with Yasmin at the
Dorchester Collection Fashion Prize event
via the Daily Mail...
While Yasmin Le Bon does not share the view of some of her fellow mannequins that the age of the supermodel is dead, she does feel that catwalk stars are losing their grasp on the industry as actresses encroach on to their territory.
The 45-year-old beauty has fronted campaigns for Chanel, Christian Dior and Gucci, all of which these days use film stars, such as Emma Watson, Keira Knightley and Charlize Theron, for their ads.
‘I have spent years validating what I do and what I bring to a brand. It is hard to put your finger on what it is, but you know you bring it,’ says Yasmin.
‘It is a certain type of credibility. It is something an actress can’t do. I mean, there is room for both. I’m not moaning about actresses taking my job, but...’
The mother-of-three, whose daughter Amber followed her into the profession, adds: ‘They [models] are not like actresses. You know a lot about actresses, you don’t know a lot about a supermodel.
‘Most models don’t do a lot of interviews, and they speak to you in a completely different way.’
and the Telegraph:
"There were always good working girls who lied about their age," said the 45-year-old model. "Only now you don't have to lie about it. In fact, now you can actually age yourself more if you want to and it can be to your benefit."
Le Bon, who was speaking at a party in Mayfair to announce the semi-finalists for the Dorchester Collection Fashion Prize, added: "You can't really have a 20 year-old advertising anti-wrinkle cream: it wouldn't quite work."
Dorchester Collection Fashion Prize
semi-finalists announced
The judging panel of the Dorchester Collection Fashion Prize, which includes Yasmin, selected five short-listed semi-finalists who will compete for the grand prize in November. Among the semi-finalists is Mary Katrantzou, who designed Yasmin's stunning fan dress for the Raisa Gorbachev Foundation Party this year. At the judging event, Yasmin wore a dress from her spring/summer 2010 YLB for Wallis collection.

Legendary designer Valentino hosted a dinner at his French château, Wideville, to celebrate the launch of his archives. Rankin's "Painting Pretty Pictures"
2 July 2010
Yasmin
was among the many women shot by Rankin
for his
latest photo compilation,
Painting Pretty Pictures, which will be released in August. The images
blur the line between photography and painting by making significant use of
digital technology to give them the appearance of an oil painting, as inspired
by the work of Gerhard Richter.
The photographer says in UK Esquire, "I can't say enough about Yasmin - she is just breathtaking. She gets more and more beautiful every day. Timeless and gorgeous!"
This is not the first time she has posed for Rankin's lens, as he shot her 4 years ago for the 21st anniversary issue of UK Elle.
Images from Painting Pretty Pictures will also be displayed in Rankin's
Annroy Gallery next month and can be seen in the August 2010 issue of UK Esquire.
"REAL Fake" competition
23 June 2010
Yasmin represented the Authentics Foundation at the "REAL Fake" competition in the European Parliament in Brussels, for which school children were invited to design a promotional tool about the problems of counterfeiting and piracy.
Yasmin, who was one of the judges, was impressed by the entries, as she told the Authentics Foundation: “The creativity and commitment shown by all the children who participated in the competition is outstanding. The message from them is clear and simple. ‘Fakes Cost More’ and buying fakes does not make economic, social, environmental, ethical or moral sense. The ‘Real Fake’ competition is a fantastic initiative. Only by reducing demand will we stop the global fake trade. What better way to start than by campaigns created by and aimed at tomorrow’s consumers.”
She is not new to issues of piracy and counterfeiting, having helped launch the Fakes Cost More summit for the Authentics Foundation in March 2008.

Browns
12 May 2010
Yasmin, wearing a knee-length silk dress from YLB for Wallis spring/summer 2010, and husband Simon attended a party celebrating the 40th anniversary of British retailer Browns. “Browns is such an important part of anyone who loves and adores fashion,” she told the New York Times. “By learning through Vogue, the only street I knew when I came to London was South Molton Street. It’s always been my radar.”

At the event were exhibited portraits of 40 iconic Browns ambassadors wearing fashion trends from the past 40 years, which were shot by Paolo Roversi. Yasmin was photographed topless wearing a vintage Ralph Lauren skirt. She chatted with Ashley at ThePop.com, who thoroughly enjoyed her company at the dinner (check out his blog entry for some great candid photos, including a rather cheeky one of Simon admiring his wife's portrait): "He was a naughty boy, VERY naughty, asking me to go topless," she said of the photographer. "But if Paolo Roversi can't make you look good at 50, then who can?"
A book containing all 40 portraits, plus exclusive fashion images and interviews, can be purchased at brownsfashion.com.

Wallis insists all is well with YLB
16 April 2010
Don't believe everything you read! Contrary to tabloid reports made earlier this week that Yasmin's line had been "axed" from the High Street chain, Wallis has confirmed with Vogue UK that all remains well between YLB and Wallis.
"Arcadia elected, prior to the collection's launch, to retail the collection only online, providing greater access to the range for customers nationwide - rather than just those living near top stores - but this led to speculation in the tabloid press that the range had been 'axed' from the high street," the article states.
After last month's launch, two pieces have already sold out; and additional items will be available starting May 1st for the high summer season.
While the original plan was to collaborate with Yasmin for two seasons only, a Christmas collection "may even be in the pipeline," reports Vogue.

new previews of YLB for Wallis
spring/summer 2010
22 March 2010
British Vogue has provided a sneak peak of some items from the spring/summer 2010 YLB for Wallis collection. Yasmin's separates and short to full-length dresses in jersey and silk are characterized by a mix of deep neutrals and brights, with the intricate attention to detail that was seen in her fall/winter collection. Unlike her previous collection, however, this season's pieces will be available exclusively online.
Julia Darlington, buying director at Wallis, reveals, "Wallis is delighted to have collaborated with Yasmin Le Bon on her second YLB For Wallis collection. Yasmin has been involved with this spring/summer collection at every stage which is evident in the collection evoking Yasmin's signature style. The dedication from Yasmin combined with the hard work of everyone behind the scenes at Wallis has resulted in a sensational range we hope the customer will enjoy and cherish for years to come."
